"Preservation of culture is preservation of the spirit.”

Who We Are?

Welcome to PDBACSCI

The Preservation & Development of Buddhist Art & Cultural Society of Central India (PDBACSCI) is a social and cultural initiative founded to preserve, protect, and promote the Buddhist-era art, literature, language, music, sculpture, and moral values that flourished in Central India. We are committed to building awareness and appreciation of this profound legacy through education, cultural exchange, and creative mediums.

What We Do?

— Preservation & Protection

We safeguard Buddhist-era heritage—both tangible and intangible—by identifying, documenting, restoring, and celebrating traditional art forms and sacred knowledge.
Our focus includes:

  • Folk Traditions: Preserving folk drama, songs, dance, and rituals linked to Buddhist life.

  • Language & Literature: Protecting Buddhist-era languages, poetry, and scriptures.

  • Sacred Texts & Jataka Tales: Educating the youth through storytelling, both orally and visually.

  • Sculptures & Murals: Recording and restoring ancient Buddhist artworks for future generations.

  • Historic Sites: Promoting awareness and preservation of important cultural locations (e.g., Nalanda, Sarnath, Kapilvastu).
